SDCC AUXILIARY BOARD MISSION STATEMENT (EXCERPT) The Auxiliary Board is tasked with three main goals: • Raising awareness for the Children's Center • Augmenting the Center's volunteer efforts • Fundraising, both through an annual dedicated Auxiliary Board event as well as throughout the year Meetings are held at least once every quarter, and semi-regular trips to the Center are organized in an effort to maintain contact with the Center and to introduce new and potential members to the program. The board maintains a size of between 8 and 20 members who are located in or near the city of Chicago, and are passionate about the Center's cause and mission. Board members are between the ages of twenty one and thirty with a history or interest in community involvement and public service. The Auxiliary Board hopes to contribute to the continuing success of the Sue Duncan Children's Center through leveraging the efforts of young professionals in the Chicago area. |
