November 2005: AN EVENING OF FINE WINE
New wines for tasting at a new location!
At the University Club on Thursday, October 6, 2005 an evening of fine wine and
eclectic light fare. Live and silent auctions and a relaxing evening after
work.

BEER TASTING
Join the
Auxiliary Board of the Sue Duncan Children's Center at Goose Island
Wrigleyville on Thursday, June 9th to sample a variety of Chicago's best
brews. The cost is only $20 if you pay in advance via PayPal or $25 at
the door. Beer donated by Goose Island Beer Company and available for
enjoyment in the outdoor beer garden (weather permitting). Click

May 2005: DINNER at Allen's New American Cafe during the month of May
Chef Allen will create a four course prix
fixe dinner menu for $55 (tax and gratuity excluded) that will be available
through the month of May. $5.00 of every prix fixe meal served will be donated
to The Sue Duncan Children's Center.

February 17th: WINTER BLUES JAM
A new fundraiser for the Center created by the SDCC
Junior Board. Guests were welcomed at the House of Blues for a fun
after-work party with live blues music.

November 18th: AN EVENING OF FINE WINE
This year guests once again enjoyed the opportunity to taste wines from California's boutique wineries, supporting the Children's Center by bidding in live and
silent auctions. The Center was able to raise
enough money to cover a large portion of its operating budget. THANK
YOU to all of our guests and to our
donors.

EVENTS
August 20th: NORTHWESTERN FOOTBALL GAME
The Springboard Foundation provided 40 tickets for children, parents,
and Board members to see Northwestern play Arizona State at Ryan Field in
Evanston. Despite a home team loss, the day was a big win all around.
Thank you Springboard!
May 15th: CIRCUS/ RENAISSANCE FAIR DAY
In mid-May we attended an amateur circus performance and a renaissance fair
put on by University of Chicago students.
April 24th: BROOKFIELD ZOO TRIP
As part of a Deloitte & Touche "Inservice Day" kindly organized by Evan Hershenson,
the Center took a trip to Brookfield Zoo. |
