Congratulations to Our 2012 Graduates

High School Graduates

Danielle first attended the Sue Duncan Children’s Center at age 2. She is graduating from Perspectives Charter High School with a senior year GPA of 3.57. A highly skilled teacher who tutors younger children at the Center, Danielle will be attending Eastern Illinois University on a substantial scholarship.


Aisha will graduate from Lindblom Math and Science Academy, one of Illinois’ top high schools, at the end of the summer session. She has attended the SDCC since age 7 and plans to pursue a college degree in engineering.


Brandy is graduating from prestigious De La Salle Institute, where her name has often appeared on the Honor Roll and her basketball skills have merited a mention in the Chicago Sun-Times. A Center regular since age 3, she will be taking her academic and athletic abilities to Southern Illinois University which she will attend on scholarship.

8th Grade Graduates

Davonni is proud to be moving on to Muchin College Prep after a successful career at Carter G. Woodson Middle School. She has been coming to the SDCC for seven years and has a devoted following of younger children who model themselves after her.


Bryson surprised himself by testing high enough to be accepted into Urban Prep, one of Chicago’s best high schools. A Center attendee for three years now, he is graduating from Pershing West where he was on the football, basketball and baseball teams.


Davon is graduating from Price Elementary where he was on the Honor Roll this year and will be moving on to Kenwood Academy. Like his twin brother, Travon, he has been coming to the SDCC since first grade and has made enormous progress in many areas.


Travon plans to join his brother Davon at Kenwood Academy. A Center attendee for eight years, he is one of our most improved children in terms of both maturity and academic skills. He is graduating from Price and was on the Honor Roll this year.


Michaela first started attending the SDCC at age 9. She worked hard to improve her grades at Kershaw and has been on the Honor Roll for two years now. She will be attending Air Force Academy High School this fall.
